First Communion

First Holy Communion is a Catholic Church ceremony. It is the spoken name for a persons first reception of the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Catholics believe this event to be very important, as the Eucharist is one of the main focuses of the Catholic Church. Lutherans also traditionally practice First Communion.

Traditions surrounding First Communion usually include large family gatherings to celebrate the event and special clothing is worn. The clothing is often white to symbolize purity. Boy's normally wear a White Formal Vest with either a White Necktie or Bowtie. You can view these vest as well as our entire line of boys vests and boy's accessories at buyyourties.com.
