Kentucky Derby Fashion

The Kentucky Derby is one of the few times that gentlemen dress up and actually try and out do the ladies.  The standard look at the Derby usually consists of classic styles of Khaki or Seersucker.

Starting with the pants because they are an eye-catcher from a distance, all men should turn to vibrant colors like Lime green, Pool Blue, Fuchsia, and Persimmon.  Any one of these colors paired with the right shirt and blazer will make you stand out like no one else.

Now that you have the pants it’s time to have some fun with the shirts. A great dress shirt in a complimentary color will go a long way. Don’t be afraid to go with a gingham or striped shirt to turn it up. This is the one day of the year that anything goes.

And of course we cannot forget the proper neck-wear.  Go with a Stylish Skinny Tie or a Sharp looking bowtie to tie your outfit together.  Remember to think outside the box, have fun, and you will look and feel your best.
